Uh, no not really. Not at all actually. 9.6 0-60 for a base model ‘02. Even an 02 svt is about even with my BMW which is 15 years older, and what I’d consider on the low end of average at ~7 secs.

I would have guessed a 0-60 of 12-14 seconds was about average, so anything under that is rarely obstructing traffic...

Well no, I suppose not as far as obstructing traffic. But these days it seems more like 6 or 7 is the norm. Camrys, which I would say is pretty much a standard car as standard as they come, have been under 7.5 since the early-mid ‘00s across all trim levels.
